Volunteer Stewards are essential members of the Arts Centre team.

We want our visitors to have a safe, professional and welcoming experience. As well as an opportunity to be part of our team, you will get to work in a beautiful theatre that has the charm of its Victorian origins and the benefits of a modern Arts Centre. It will give you the chance to work with creative people.

Being a volunteer needs dedication, a willingness to donate your time, professionalism and loyalty. We are very proud of our high standard of customer care and expect our volunteers to commit to providing this also.

We want our visitor’s to experience affordable theatrical and cinematic entertainment for all, in a safe, professional and welcoming environment.

Being a volunteer at The Pontardawe Arts Centre entails several responsibilities;

  • checking tickets on doors of auditorium
  • being available to assist the audience at all times
  • selling programmes
  • checking areas are ready for public use
  • Assisting with any first aid incidents
  • evacuating the audience if any emergency/incident occurs

Pontardawe Arts Centre considers volunteering a responsible role and we value the commitment that our volunteers have for the venue. This is an excellent opportunity to see a diverse range of shows and an opportunity to meet and socialise with other people.
