Cyd-ennillydd Gwobr Rheithgor Cannes yn 2022. Addasiad o’r nofel gwobredig gan Paolo Cognetti. Mae Pietro a Bruno yn cwrdd yn ystod eu plentyndod ac yn treulio haf rhyfeddol yn archwilio byd natur, cyfeillgarwch a theulu. Nid ydynt yn cwrdd eto nes ydynt yn oedolion ac yn treulio haf arall yn adeiladu cysgodfa cerrig mewn dyffryn syfrdanol yn y Swisdir.

Co-winner of the 2022 Cannes Jury Prize. Adapted from the award-winning novel by Paolo Cognetti. Pietro and Bruno meet as children and spend an idyllic summer exploring the wilds, friendship and family. Fate separates them until they are reunited as adults and spend another summer building a stone hut in a breathtaking Alpine valley.

“A movie with air in its lungs and love in its heart - 5 stars. This rich, beautiful and inexpressibly sad film is about the friendship between men who can’t talk about their feelings and about winning and losing at the great game of life. It is set in the breathtaking and wonderfully photographed Italian Alpine valley of Aosta, which includes the slopes of Mont Blanc and the Matterhorn.” Peter Bradshaw, The Guardian
