When Dutch novelist Bas Steman experiences panic attacks and ‘war memories’ he is confused. How is this possible? And where do these fears come from?

His investigations lead him to paratrooper Morgan Probert from Pontardawe. Morgan was killed in World War II whilst fighting in Arnhem during Operation Market Garden in September 1944.

In a bizarre way the lives of Morgan and Bas seem to be intertwined. Is Bas the reincarnation of Morgan? Bas however, is sceptical and wants to prove that it’s all just a coincidence. But, everything he finds out corresponds with the life of Morgan.

Eventually Bas contacts Morgan's family to find out more and what happens then is incredible.

In 2018 Bas released the novel Morgan, My Love which became a bestseller in his native Netherlands, now in its 11th edition. Then, in 2022 the documentary The Incredible Story of Private Morgan (by Dutch filmmaker Ariane Greep) screened on Dutch TV.
