We understand that bringing a family or young children to the theatre can be quite stressful so we thought we would try and make that first visit a special and easy one.

Below we have tried to think of everything you will need to know about bringing a family to Pontardawe Arts Centre to watch a show or a film.  Our welcoming, friendly staff are always on hand to help.  If you require anything or have any questions please feel free to call us or email us at pontardawe.boxoffice@npt.gov.uk or ask our staff in person in the venue.

Family Shows

We have some shows in our programme that are aimed specifically at families and young children. We will always give an age guidance in our brochure and on our website.

Family Show Pricing

For most of our family shows we have a concessionary ticket price or it will be part of the family friendly scheme where accompanying children pay just £1*  We often offer a reduced ticket price for additional children for our children’s shows and events.

Toilets/Baby Changing Facilities

We have toilets located on all levels of Pontardawe Arts Centre and our baby changing facilities and accessible toilets are located on the ground floor near the theatre and in the entrance corridor.

Pushchairs

The lower floor is fully accessible for pushchairs and wheelchairs. Unfortunately we do not allow the pushchairs into the auditorium for the performance but you can leave it with the front of house staff and they will store it safely for you.  There is no disabled access to the upstairs of the theatre but please inform box office staff about any wheelchair users when booking seats.

The Bar

We have products that are suitable for children including drinks and treat bags with activity packs.

Lapseat Policy

There is no charge for children aged 18months and under but please inform box office when booking.

Booster Seats

We have a limited amount of booster seats available for children to use in the main auditorium.  If you require one please ask a member of staff and they will be able to assist you.
